This wet woodland close to Linford consists of an ancient hedge, a mixed willow plantation, ditches and an open area. It is surrounded by arable farmland. It supports tawny owls, great spotted and green woodpeckers and is an oasis for migrant birds in spring and autumn.

Visiting

Entrance from East Tilbury Road, Linford, north of Linford Methodist Church

A few minutes' walk from East Tilbury station.

Accessible at all times.
